Creative Works of Lancaster will present four performances of Christmas on Mars by Obie-winning playwright Harry Kondoleon.

The jet-black comedy is about Bruno and Audrey, a young unmarried couple expecting a baby around Christmas. Audrey’s mother, Ingrid, is moving in with them to help pay the rent, and things get even more complicated when Nissim, Bruno’s longtime roommate, appears on the scene and decides to stay as well. Critics have described the late playwright’s work as “carefully crafted off-kilter dialogue mixed with lyricism that produces a poignant melancholy buffeted by head-shaking comedy,” and Creative Works is happy to introduce his work to Lancaster.

The production will be presented at The Ware Center (Millersville University - Lancaster), 42 N. Prince St., Lancaster, Pa., Thursday through Sunday nights, Dec. 15th – 18th. Performances will be held at 7:30 every evening.

Ticket prices are $10 each, with an “Awkward Threesome Special” of three tickets for $25.

The show is intended for adult audiences.
